Everyone is using Twitter and likes having their tweets on their web page, so they look for widgets. Most Twitter widgets are branded meaning they have a link going back to their company and taking attention away from the purpose of the widget to start with and that is to show your tweets. Widget branding is their way of being compensated for their work and don't get me wrong, I am not putting this down, but perfer my widgets 'brand free' on my sites. In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a 'brand free' widget to get your tweets out without branding and with no monthly fee. The software I am using is Coffeecup RSS News Flash Reader. It creates feeds from almost any RSS(Really Simply Syndication) feed and can easily show your tweets. You can even mix in your own messages(great for Affiliate Marketing). |
First, sign into Twtter, and click on your profile link located on the top right hand side. This as you probably already know will bring up your tweets. |
Next, go to down on the right hand side of your twitter profile page, and you will see a RSS symbol like the one in the pic. Simply click on it, and your browser(Firefox, IE. 7 and up) will show your RSS feed for you twitter account. |
Go up to the address bar on your browser, right click on your mouse, and copy the web address. Now open RSS News Flash Reader, and copy the feed. The software comes with several options for displaying your tweets. More advanced users can even set it up for others to add your tweets on their page. |

On the left is the area you click to add the RSS feed link, and just simply enter the Twitter Feed URL(web address), design your layout, and DONE! Your own personal Twitter feed. |
