Click on the Twitter icon to do a
status update on this article--
The easy way to add a link on you blog or web page to do a status update with twitter:

You may or may not use
Twitter, but still it's a sinificant factor to broadcast your
information on the net. One way of getting your message out is to povide a predefined
status message update on twitter. For example, if someone clicks on the
twitter icon,
twitter will come up in a new window and show something in the status box like 'found
info for giving status updates on web pages http://bit.ly/61RZEi
#webdesign
#coffeecup
'.

The
breakdown of the Twitter status update link:

The following info must be included the status update:

Next, add the info for your status updates seperating with the '+' sign(no quotes).

Example:

Finally, add your link and use the
pound hash by adding a '%23[yourtext]'

Easy enough. So to put it all together, your tweet will look like this:

Example:

+http://bit.ly/61RZEi+%23webdesign+%23coffeecup'

Doing a status update in
visual site designer:

The only thing that changes in Visual Site Designer(VSD), is when you add a link in the
'link properties', VSD will not accept entering 'http://' anywhere but the beginning of the
link(as of this writing'). If you do insert a link(ie.,
bit.ly or long link), you have to use
escape hash numbers instead of 'http://'. For example:

'http://' = 'http:/&#47'

So
your complete link in VSD will look something like this:

+http:/&#47bit.ly/61RZEi+%23webdesign+%23coffee
cup'

So you have it and if you click my twitter icon on this page, you can do a predefined
status update!
